ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jay D Roberts, MD, is a board-certified physiatrist (not to be confused with psychiatrist), specializing in the treatment of brain, spinal cord, and musculoskeletal injuries with a focus on maximizing physical abilities while healing wounds and pain for a better quality of life. He lived in the Philippines as a child and young adult, attended medical school, and was an active medical missionary throughout the islands and internationally. His experiences provide the backdrop for his novel, Black Lethal. In addition to his medical career, he has been part of a Christian ministry inside maximum-security prisons. Dr. Roberts and his wife, parents of two grown sons and grandparents of six precious ones, live in Southlake, Texas. He is currently at work on his next novel and plans a sequel to his first memoir, Break the Chains: Transforming Shame into Forgiveness.
